Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Before this goes live: this is a standard, plain-English template covering exactly what this site collects today (newsletter/waitlist emails via Brevo, optional analytics via Google Analytics). It's a solid starting point, not legal advice — have it reviewed by someone qualified before you rely on it, and fill in the real business details marked [in brackets] below.
This policy explains what information A Guy Called Marc ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by [legal business name / sole trader name], [address], [tax ID / NIF]. For anything in this policy, contact us at [contact email].
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly: your email address, and which product and colour you're interested in, when you sign up to our newsletter or join a product waitlist.
Information collected automatically: only if you accept analytics cookies via the banner on this site, Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate location at country/city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. If you decline or ignore the banner, none of this is collected.
3. How we use it
- To send you news about merch drops, concert or tour alerts, and other updates related to @a_guy_called_marc.
- To notify you when a product you've waitlisted becomes available to order.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it — only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
We do not sell your information, and we don't use it for anything beyond what's described here.
4. Legal basis
Newsletter and waitlist emails are processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. Analytics data is processed on the basis of your consent, given via the cookie banner. You can withdraw either at any time — see Section 7.
5. Who we share it with
- Brevo (Sendinblue SA), our email service provider — processes your email address to send the newsletter and waitlist notifications described above.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — only if you've accepted analytics cookies — processes usage data to give us aggregate statistics. Some processing may happen on servers outside the EU/EEA; Google's Standard Contractual Clauses cover this transfer.
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
6. How long we keep it
Email and product-preference data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' retention settings on our account (configurable, default 14 months).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct it if inaccurate; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect processing that already happened before the withdrawal). To exercise any of these, email [contact email].
You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Spain, that's the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
8. Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar local-storage technologies — see our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to manage your choice.
9. Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make that clear here.
