Before this goes live: this is a standard, plain-English template covering exactly what this site collects today (newsletter emails via Brevo, collab/booking enquiries, optional analytics via Google Analytics). This policy explains what information A Guy Called Marc ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
Information you give us directly: your email address when you sign up to the newsletter, together with which form you used and how you reached the site (for example an Instagram link or campaign tag). If you send a collab or booking enquiry, your name, email and message.
Information collected automatically: only if you accept analytics cookies via the banner on this site, Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate location at country/city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. If you decline or ignore the banner, none of this is collected.
3. How we use it
- To send you the playlists newsletter and occasional news related to @a_guy_called_marc (new projects, merch drops, ebooks).
- To understand which links and campaigns bring people to the newsletter.
- To reply to collab, booking or press enquiries you send us.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it — only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
We do not sell your information, and we don't use it for anything beyond what's described here.
4. Legal basis
Newsletter emails are processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. Collab and booking enquiries are processed to answer your request. Analytics data is processed on the basis of your consent, given via the cookie banner. You can withdraw either at any time — see Section 7.
5. Who we share it with
- Brevo (Sendinblue SA), our email service provider — processes your email address to send the newsletter described above and to forward collab enquiries to us by email.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — only if you've accepted analytics cookies — processes usage data to give us aggregate statistics. Some processing may happen on servers outside the EU/EEA; Google's Standard Contractual Clauses cover this transfer.
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
6. How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' retention settings on our account (configurable, default 14 months).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct it if inaccurate; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect processing that already happened before the withdrawal). To exercise any of these, email marc@weappyou.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Spain, that's the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

9. Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
